The Portland State University Library celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by featuring books illustrating the diversity of lives and experiences. From growing up in Chinatown to a famous cartoonist growing up in a Filipino household, our books capture the resilience, tears and humor of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, from Hawai’i to to New York City.
