Search for Course Reserves
About Course Reserves
Course Reserves are assigned books, book chapters, and journal articles available online through the Library Catalog or in print at the Circulation Desk. Instructors choose which course materials are placed on reserve each term for their students.
- For students: Search the Library Catalog for your course number or the title of the book. If the book is available, bring the call number to the Circulation Desk for short-term checkout. Scanners are available on the 1st floor of the library for students to scan needed textbook chapters.
- For faculty: Please use the Course Reserves Request Form to place an item on course reserve for student use. For more details, see our Submission Guidelines or contact reserves@pdx.edu.
E-Reserve Service Ending
Fall 2026 will be the last term the Library offers electronic reserves. Starting Winter 2027 we will no longer scan or host any reserve PDFs or electronic reading folders. Course Reserves for print books and ebooks will continue without any changes. To learn more about this change and find other ways to share digital course materials with your students, check out our blog post about the new federal digital accessibility standards and electronic reserves.
