Zotero and Mendeley Basics
Description: Bibliographies made easy! Learn to use citation management tools Zotero and Mendeley to collect, organize and cite research sources. This will provide a basic overview of each system. Bring a laptop if you want to use the tools in-class and visit http://guides.library.pdx.edu/managecitations for info on installing and using Zotero and Mendeley.
Prerequisites: Some of these sessions will take place online, so be sure to look at the bottom of the description to make sure this will be provided in the medium of your choice. Online sessions will take place in a web conferencing environment called Elluminate, which requires a small Java applet download and the ability to hear audio through speakers or headphones (a microphone is recommended, but not required).
