Plagiarism: Avoidable PSU librarians have confirmed extremely bad news as originally reported in the Student Code of Conduct. Preliminary reports last week indicated that plagiarism is academic dishonesty, according to school policy. Further investigation has revealed today that the consequences of plagiarism range from an F to expulsion. "It's true, and there's a reason for it," says a confidential source inside the library. "Plagiarism is stealing!" The good news: students who attain mastery of the ancient art of citation have nothing to fear from the enforcers of this strict rule. "We think that most PSU students don't intend to plagiarize," our source stated. "They just don't know how to cite their sources correctly." What is a well-meaning student to do? Librarians suggest that concerned students use specially designed tutorials - like this one - to learn more about avoiding plagiarism.
