Library Donors, At the Center of Student Success

The Portland State University Library thanks our donors for their support in 2011-12. Because of our generous donors, we were able to accomplish many goals and projects to benefit our students and faculty. As we reflect on the past year and look forward to the school year ahead, we thank you for all the ways you contributed to the University Library.

Here is a list of some of this year's highlights and accomplishments made possible by the generosity of our donors:

Millar Library welcomed over 900,000 visitors

The Library employed 82 student workers

Library faculty taught 24 graduate workshops

The Library provided access to 42,000 online journals and databases

More than 1.2 million visits were logged to the University Library website

Special Collections featured over 100 items in its four exhibits

31,718 books were added to our collections

160 visitors attended the 2011 University Archives Crawl

The Library helped support Portland State University's 27,000 students

The Portland State Library gratefully acknowledges the support of our many alumni, staff, faculty, and community members in helping us achieve excellence.  We are able to do more because of the generosity of our supporters.

Portland State Library serves as Portland’s only full-subject academic library and we continue to make an impact on our users because of our passionate donors.  Our mission has never been more critical during a time of challenging budgets.
