New Family Study Room in the Library!

Date: 09/22/2009
The Portland State University Library has opened a small Family Study Room, designed for student-parents and their children. Student-parents often find themselves on campus with their kids, and need family friendly spaces. The room is the result of the Library's collaboration with the Helen Gordon Child Development Center, and with the support of the Office of Information Technologies.

The Family Study Room has two workstations for students and a play/reading area for children. It can accommodate two family groups at a time, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis by checking out a key at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Library. The room does not provide childcare, but offers a family-friendly place for student-parents to study and work on projects.
