MLK Film Festival

This film festival acknowledges presenters who are "living the legacy" of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Saul Landau's films and presentation are sponsored by the Portland State University Library and the PSU Multicultural Center. Saul Landau is a senior Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies, an internationally-known scholar, and filmmaker on foreign and domestic policy issues. He won an Emmy for "Paul Jacobs and the Nuclear Gang." Saturday January 24 2009, 7pm, 5th Avenue Cinema, 5th & Hall SW From Protest to Resistance This provocative documentary captures the rapid changes in the students' movement of the 1960s that brought forth the pacifist anti-war movement, the free speech movement, and the black power struggle.
