Newbery Medal
The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
The following list includes the award winners, and their respective call numbers in the Millar Library. The Childrens Literature Award Winners are all shelved together at the beginning of the PZ call number range in the southeast corner of the 5th floor. Titles without call numbers are not currently owned by the Millar Library. Ask for help at the reference desk on the 2nd floor if you need assistance with obtaining a copy from another library.
The list of award winners and their locations in the Millar Library can be retrieved by entering
Newbery Award as a keyword search in the Vikat online catalog.
