For Portland State students, faculty and staff, selected Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are now available on the Portland State Research Computers (located in the Library Research Center on the 2nd floor). As staff at the Library Research Center will offer miminal technical support for Office-related technical questions, we recommend that you consult the following resources for help:

Help Files

The Help files imbedded in each application are usually the best place to get you started with basic questions. You can launch the Help files in either one of the following two ways:

  • Press F1 on your keyboard.
  • Click on "Help" on the menu bar on the top of the window (circled in red below)
