  • Library Resource Computers are intended for library research activities. They provide access to the Library's online catalog, licensed databases, electronic course reserves, pdx.edu websites, and other selected resources.
  • Library Resource Computers also provide access for managing your library accounts to renew materials, see checked out or hold items, update your account information, and request materials from other libraries.
  • Library Resource Computers may be used by all Library users. Members of the general public and educational community members are welcome to use these computers for Library research, as no login account is required on these computers.
  • There are 50 kiosks located throughout the Library.
  • Kiosks are connected to fee-based printers on each floor of the Library. Some Library Catalog pages, library sites, ".gov" sites, and ".mil" sites may be printed for free, but other types of printing will cost $.10 per page.
  • Document editing is not available, but several document viewers are provided to facilitate reading, printing, and saving of documents.  Included are Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint viewers.
  • Downloaded files can be saved to portable storage medium, such as a USB flash drive or a CD-R/RW disc, or sent as an email attachment using ".edu" site web-based email systems such as https://webmail.pdx.edu.  Access to http://www.mydatabus.com/ is also provided as another alternative for data storage.
