 Wireless Network - FAQ

The PSU Library has a very strong wireless network throughout the building.

The best place to start is the Wireless Network web page for the PSU library.

You can also check OIT's help pages for:

Instructions for connecting to the Wireless Network:

  1. Set up your Portland State/Webmail Odin account if you haven't already done this. The Portland State Office of Information Technology (OIT) Helpdesk has FAQs that will help you set up your Odin account. You must be a current Portland State student, faculty member, or staff member to obtain an Odin account, but there are some exceptions made for guests or other sponsored visitors to Portland State.
  2. Make sure your laptop has a wireless networking PC card or built-in support for wireless networking that uses the 802.11b standard. Verify that your version of Windows or Mac OS supports the card. Contact the OIT Help Desk at (503) 725-HELP for assistance or see the Wireless FAQs for more information.
  3. Connect to the PubNet (pubnet.pdx.edu) network.
  4. Open a Web browser on your wireless-enabled laptop or device. A login window will appear.
