Who Can Use a Study Room?
There are several group study rooms located in the Portland State Library. Current Portland State students, faculty, and staff may check-out keys for the study rooms. The checkout period is for three hours with no renewal.
Reserving a Room
- Check-out the keys at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor of Millar Library
- You may also check-out dry-erase markers, and eraser, if supplies are available. (Whiteboards are hanging on the wall inside the study room.)
- Users must present their current Portland State IDs
- First come, first served
- Check availability of study rooms

Conditions of Use
- Portland State Library is not responsible for personal items lost or stolen in group study rooms.
- Keys are the property of Portland State Library and must remain in the library.
- Before using a study room, please report any damage at the Circulation Desk.
- Beverages in spill-proof containers are permitted.
Group Study Rooms Fines
Late key-return fines:
- $1/hour for first hour
- $.25/hour after first hour late
- $20 maximum
- NO CAP ON FINES
- Blocked library privileges until returned
Lost-keys fines:
- $100
- Plus any accrued fines
- Non-refundable $20 service charge
