The Friends of the Portland State Library share a common interest and appreciation for the Portland State Library. The Library plays an important role in our community serving Portland State faculty, students and the public. It is with your support that we can build a brighter future. Through your contributions and gifts, the Library resources will grow like the copper beech tree encased by the Library; thus the community will benefit from the Library's resources and access to information.

As a Friend, you will receive the Leaf, the Friends newsletter, and you will be notified of Friends and Library special events and exhibits. In addition, your membership contribution is tax deductible.

Membership Information

Become a Friend with an annual contribution of $50 or more ($25 for students) to the Friends of the Branford P. Millar Library. Contributions are tax-deductible.

Friends of the Portland State Library is an organization of people like you, who recognize that libraries rarely have enough books, reference materials, computers, art work or staff. The Branford P. Millar Library is no exception, and we're here to help.

We banded together in 1994 as volunteers interested in helping to make this Library--already strong and recognized around the region for its contributions to higher education--even stronger. We hope to increase its visibility, its collections and its stature. We will recognize students and faculty, whose pioneering spirit and dedication have made this institution into what it is today, and what it will be in the future.

Please join us! We need your participation. We seek involvement and contributions from students, faculty, alumni and the broader commercial, professional and social community. With your help, we can accomplish a great deal.
