Persistent Linking to Articles
This section provides instructions for creating persistent links to the Library's resources. "Persistent Links" are URLs that connect users directly to a library database or article by clicking a link embedded in a webpage. Persistent links can be useful when creating syllabi, online reading lists or bibliographies and other research tools. Persistent links can assist instructors to comply with copyright rules when downloading an article from a library database and making it available through a Blackboard course or through the Library's course reserve system.

RSS Feeds from the Library
Some of the Library's content is available through RSS Feeds. Subscribe to these feeds to receive automatic updates about the Library's workshops, new electronic resources, and new titles added to our colllection. (What is RSS?)

Special Collections
The Library's Special Collections support research and teaching at Portland State University. Materials in Special Collections are collected because they hold long-term, historical research potential; possess unique physical characteristics, such as binding or printing; or are inherently rare or scarce. The collections include books, correspondence, diaries and journals, manuscripts, maps, newsletters, newspapers, organizational publications, audio/visual materials, ephemera, and sheet music.

Summit
Contains the holdings of academic libraries in Washington & Oregon, including the holdings of Portland State Library. Many items can be borrowed directly.

University Archives
Use the shelf list and finding aids from the University Archives. The Archives contains the official records of Portland State University.

Videos/DVDs
Search for videos and DVDs held at the Portland State Library.
