There are Ethernet (wired network) ports and electrical sockets available on the Third Floor of the Library. These ports are available only for current Portland State students, faculty and staff with active Odin accounts.
Library users must supply their own Ethernet cables to connect to the ports. If you have a Windows PC, use your Windows "Control Panel" to configure your Network Connections - Local Area Network - TCP/IP settings to obtain an IP address automatically.
If you need help configuring your Mac or PC laptop, contact the OIT Helpdesk at (503.725.4357) or in person at Smith Memorial Center, Rm. 18.
Information about the wireless network in the Library is also available for current Portland State students, faculty, and staff with Portland State Odin accounts.
For security reasons, the laptop connections cannot access the Library's print systems. If you need to print, please bring your own printer or make other arrangements for printing at an OIT computer lab.
