Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

The work I want to copy is available on-line. Doesn't that mean it's in the Public Domain?

Answer:

No. Copyright law covers materials found on-line too. Just because something is widely available via the Internet does not place it in the Public Domain. Anything that is protected by copyright in a non-electronic form is also protected in electronic form.
