Research has the highest priority on the Library's computers. Please note the following rules about acceptable computer use:
- Use only your own account.
- Accounts may not be shared with others.
- You may be asked to produce your photo ID in order to prove that you are using your own account.
- You will abide by the other rules in Portland State's Acceptable Use Policy and the Library's Use of Licensed Databases policy.
- Do not try to use the Windows "lock computer" functionality if you plan to step away from a station for more than 15 minutes. Library staff reserve the right to "unlock" the machine and this may cause you to lose any unsaved files or data.
- Please see the Portland State Library Policy regarding Computing Access for the General Public for more information.
Failure to abide by these rules may result in your being asked to leave the Library. Continued infractions of these rules will lead to your being permanently banned from using the Library's computers.
