Overview

A Census of Commercial Fisheries was conducted for the calendar year 1963 and was the first such census undertaken since 1908. Prior to the 1908 census, there were two census surveys of commercial fisheries, one in 1889 and the other 1880. The last Census of Commercial Fisheries was done in 1967.
