The Black Panther Party was an African-American revolutionary organization established to promote Black Power. It was active in the United States from the mid-1960s into the 1970s. The Black Panther, a political newspaper published by the Black Panther Party, is an important collection held by Special Collections, Portland State Library. Come view this unique collection in the New Books Area on the first floor of the Library starting January 12.
