Library To Publish 5 New Open Textbooks

Following the successful publication of five open textbooks through PDX Open, Portland State University Library is pleased to announce the forthcoming authoring and publication of five additional open textbooks, all of which will be authored by PSU faculty and published in PDXScholar. Publication is scheduled for January 2016.

A stipend of $2,500 is being provided to each faculty author, with support from Library donors as well as a contribution from PSU Intensive English Language Program (IELP).

The selected faculty authors and textbooks are:

Lina Gomaa-Moulds, World Languages & Literatures
Textbook Title: From MSA to CA
Course Information: Arabic majors and minors

Open textbooks are digital in format and made freely available over the web for students at PSU and beyond. Open textbooks are published in PDXScholar, the university’s institutional repository managed by PSU Library.
